Great Printer

This is a quality product, and meets all of my needs at the home office. Installing driver was easy for PC products. Unfortunately, the driver that came with the printer in a CD (installation needed for WiFi printing) for My iMac was not compatible with the newest Mac OS. I am not yet able to find the driver from Brother's website. Printing through USB interface was OK with iMac.

This is a very cheap machine. I have had problems with the fax. It will sometimes not pick up the paper or will take six pages at a time.
The ink is the biggest problem. Ink is expensive and your machine tells me it is empty when it is not. I have read that it cleans the ink frequently which is unnecessary and uses a lot of ink. I do have a better Brother all-in-one that I love, but the error message that I cannot fix. It is the printhead. I will certainly go back to that once fixed.

After setting up my printer.and using I discovered problems,called brothers,and their excellent agent helpt me with the problem. He spent time and showed patientce,and stayed with me until all problems were corrected. I spoke to supervisor commended agent,and once again thank brothers for assistance. It will be my pleasure to recommend brothers and their products.Mis perfecty printer,no problems with Fax or copying.,avery good product

Good wireless printer

Good wireless printer for the money.
Had difficulty setting up with the first computer but all others took less than 10 minutes each.

have had zero problems after using it for more than 2 months.
Why it"s called a compact printer though is beyond me, as it has a very large footprint.

Very good product up to this point

Product was easy to install and at this point has been operating with good clear copies in both color and black and white. Not the fastest but I don't need speed as long as it works. Also the price was great and the black and color replacement cost are low compared to other brands.

Outstanding All-In-One Machine

I have but the highest regard for this product. The wireless feature, operated from my laptop and my desktop is very convenient. My laptop is located four rooms away from this printer with no degradation. The monitor display of individual ink level colors is a good feature.
Customer tech support is very responsive. When I had a question on the procedure of getting a scanned document to my desktop.

Had a problem getting started but called Brother and the lady quietly guided me through a reinstall that had me printing in about 10 minutes.
Color is a little weak but I'm sure it will strengthen. darn good machine J430W

Great Home Office Product

Setting up my home office I needed something lightweight, portable, easy to operate and relatively inexpensive. My Brother Inkjet machine has now been at my side for 2 months and was one of the best investments I've made. Most printing is done wirelessly and the quick response and very good print quality is what I was after. Great printer for Real Estate Home Office.

First I did not buy it for the fax.
Second, the scanner works but mostly with much effort and rebooting of computer and scanner.
Printer works well and puts out good prints.
I was most disappointed in the scanner control system. It is frustrating at best even after a call to your technical people, who were friendly and seemed helpful.
Things only worked breifly before the old communication error cropped up again. There is nothing wrong with my computer or the data cable. The problem appears to be driver software provided by the manufacture.

We bought this second brother all in one printer because it is user friendy, and the price was very reasonable for all the features that was included. It reproduces our documents with good clairty. The only downside of this is, we haven't been able to successfully connect our computer to the wi fi part of the printer. I'm sure that when it is time to get a new printer, we will most likely buy another Brother.

Brother MFC-J430W All-in-one printer

I bought this printer about a month ago. At first, I wasn't sure what to buy. I got a recommendation from the guys at an ink refiller franchise. They told me about my previous printer that I have now replaced, and back then it was a good deal. They endorsed this Brother printer. On the strength of that endorsement, I went out and bought this printer, and I have had time to put it through the paces. I am pleased to announce that this product met and surpassed my expectations. I am very happy with this printer, and if anybody out there needs to have their own personal printer for their computer system, do get this one - you won't be disappointed!

Does the Job Well

Great Printer/Scanner

Wanted to replace my previous Brother for one that had automatic feeder for scanning. This fits the bill nicely. I also like the separate color cartridges so i can replace the colors as needed.
