Great Printer/Great Value

This printer was reasonably priced, easy to install and use, and has proven very reliable. I have had such painful experiences with other manufacturer's printers I wish I had found this one MUCH sooner. I absolutely would recommend this printer to anyone for light or medium duty use, as I have found nothing to be dissatisfied with.

Great Laser Printer

This was easy to set up, have all 4 laptops and the desktop all using this printer wirelessly (3 different operating systems). No issues at all. Notifies me of Firmware updates, no need to check if there are updates. Just about takes care of itself.
Perfect for the home, with school age or in my case college age students, double sided printing is a bonus. Great product at a great price.
This printer has already paid for itself, and is still going strong.

This printer is the best buy

I wish I had bought one years ago. It is fast and economical. No paper jams yet. We bought 3 months ago. Print daily for work office. I can hand out daily specials to customers without worrying about cost. It has paid for itself. I rarely use my ink jet now.

My HL-2270DW is AWESOME!!!

Fast, EASY setup onto my wireless network via a USB-A to USB-B cable then moved it to my printers location, turned it on and it has wirelessly operated perfectly ever since! It prints BEAUTIFUL, CLEAR, perfect black and white pages super fast! I use it in my home and office so it gets a fair bit of use. Perfect every time, never a paper jam, never any problems at all. I turn it on in the morning and off every evening and just let it sleep between jobs. It's quick out of sleep mode (just a few seconds) then it's lightning fast printing. We love this thing and HIGHLY recommend it. We are so impressed we are looking to Brother to replace our other printers.

Very Nice Reliable Fast Printer

I have been using the Brother 2270DW laser printer for over a year and I am very pleased with the performance and reliability of this product. Considering the price I paid for this machine I think it represents very good value indeed.

I have 4 Brother printers going back many years. They all still work. I espeially like the duplex printing' as I do some fairly large print sessions. I would reccomend to anyone.

I bought the HL-2270DW for my kids colleges' projects and it handles all their paper projects except of course the color which I bought the MFC-J435W for color printing and scanning. This is my sixth Brother product I own. I have a 2170DW that I bought a few years ago and the network card went but I still use it by USB. I had bought two HL 2040 but it was too expensive to replace the fusers on them. The cost is better to just buy a new unit. I had also bought a portable scanner DS 600 but do not care for the scan software. It is differcult to use.
I am an A+ certified tech and these are my opinion. Their tech support is helpful and they do go the extra step to send you documents when need be. I would recommend this printer.

Solid Printer

This printer has worked flawlessly. It is easy to use. This is the first laser printer I have owned and the cost of toner verses ink is much cheaper. The starter cartridge lasted six months and another two on low before replacing; the high capacity should last over a year. This was a very good buy.

Very nice printer

I really like the automatic duplex feature and the flexibility to change the type of duplex and also to go non-duplex. I really like the print speed. And I especially like the wireless connection, since things can be printed from my wife's laptop located in a different part of the house.

Summary
SETUP
Network and driver setup is a breeze. There's more than one way to do the first time configuration: via a temporary USB or Ethernet cable connection. Then I used the setup tool on 64-bit Windows 7 Home, and it cleverly discovers your network's SSID and wireless password from the setup host computer.

The print quality is outstanding for 600dpi, and toner coverage is a solid 100%. The toner cartridges seem expensive, but relative to my short lived inkjet printers it is a bargain. 3rd party toner carts do exist, though it looks like you have to fiddle with things to use them (I have not tested 3rd party toner). Did I say this printer was FAST?

Most people won't care about this usage: I used this to print out text, source code, line art and dithered /halftone art. No issues. I used this to print some PCB (printed circuit board) artwork onto manually-fed glossy transfer paper (actually cut out from a magazine), then used a clothes iron to transfer the artwork from the printed page to copper clad protoboard, and then etched the copperboard in acid. The toner survived the "etching" process, and once cleaned off I had a nice metal etched board. I'm stating this because I read at least 1 review that the toner in this printer was not durable enough to act as an acid resist. The toner is great. I'm sure at least one in a two hundred users would be wondering if this is good for PCB artwork.

Crisp and Fast

This is the fastest printer I've ever owned. It has also been remarkably trouble-free since I started using it. The duplex feature offers a wonderful choice if reducing piles of paper is a goal.
It turns on really quickly as well.
I do wish the toner cartridge would last longer, but like most printers it gives you the "low toner" warning long before you need to do anything.

Wireless printer is outstanding - printing is fast and clear. Only drawback is the pricey toner. Otherwise this is a great buy even though I got this as a gift from my son.

This is our 2nd Brothers in 15 yrs. I love this one also. Simple, cheap actually feel like we got our money's worth for something in this day and age. It provides quick, clear, crisp documents. It works well with my wireless and have had no problems with it. Wish I could afford a colour one some day but this will do quite fine here in the states.
