I have had several Brother Printers in the last few years. I bought 2 around 6 yrs ago, since then I have got a fax machine . I recently had a problem with the black ink, it did print although it was blotchy. I tried cleaning it and change the cartridge. That didn't work so I called the service rep. and he ran me through the same procedures I had tried but no luck. Then he did something that really suprised me , he said they would send me another machine! AT NO COST!
I have never had any problems with any of the other machines. But to get a free replacement after 6 years is unbelievable. Happily I have finally found a company that really stands behind their products and have pride in their workmanship which is VERY hard to come by these days. The new machine works great!

I am very pleased with this printer. It is does not run out of ink quickly, and I am not buying expensive ink cartridges every other month.

I like the printer for speed, quality of print and ease of use.
The only negative comments I have are :
1-small size of printer cartridges.
2-High cost of cartridges.
3-Problems with the black ink port plugging
up.
However, the help line was very good at getting the problem fixed and I was able to fix the problem myself on two seperate occasion.
All in all, a nice printer for light duty use.

Paper tray is a bit awkward to load and sometimes jams, but printing is wonderful-- very clear and bright.

The paper jams frequently it is slow to correct or clear the issue once the problem is corrected and uses ink too quickly.
